Haitian art has been the major interest of late Simone Seitre for the last 40 years. She discovered Haiti and its art as it was being internationally recognised. She worked with the best Galleries and also thru direct contacts with artists that were to become famous. Half collector (or more) and half dealer she constituted a major collection that she displayed in her gallery of Saint Martin in the marina Port la Royale of Marigot. This place is still alive, as I take over the management after being with her since the first trips to Port au Prince in the early 70's. You are welcome to discover what Haitian artists have produced of quality and that my mother selected, from a pure discovery experience to the satisfaction of a keen collector. All schools and subjects represented from country life to voodoo, self taught and naive to abstract modern.
